Garage
Support of a good woman.

HI,
Just wanted to share this:
My garage has become full with 2 bikes and 2 cars, tools, mill , lathe, etc. And I'm always fiddling with the 911. It's been cold and wet lately so I asked my wife if she wouldn't mind if I tear down the Moto Guzzi Monza in the garage and do the re-assembly in our living room. Without hesitation she agreed! I'm a lucky guy.

Andy

You got a good one there. Glad to hear your life is made happy.

Ask her if you can clean tools and parts in the dishwasher.

Andy,

We are indeed blessed and fortunate. And I was only allowed to use the kitchen.

I might have your story beat. I bought my 89 Speedster in Jan. 1999. So that gives you an idea what I paid for it. A few years later after a bad day in the office, I came home and told my wife the Porsche and Harley are being sold. Time to hoard money and get out of the business I was in ASAP!!

I placed an ad in Panorama to sell the Porsche for slightly less than I paid. I didn't get a single call in over 3 months, I gave up, and told the wife I guess it wasn't meant to be, she agreed.

About 4-5 years ago while at a car show with the car, I was telling a couple guys how I couldn't get a single call when I tried selling my Speedster. My wife then said, "Oh, you got calls, but I told them all the car was sold". She saved me from myself years earlier. I still have the car and the wife, and unlike mutual funds, which I no longer invest in, the car is worth at least 3 times what I paid for it.

You are indeed a lucky guy!

My wife saved my life but I'm sure she would kill me if I brought an engine into the house

My wife would have purchased me a heater for the garage and a sweater.

Supportive and smart

40 years of marriage. Life is good and she would let me do the same thing. Good to be lucky in love.

You'll be paying her back.... you just don't know how or when yet

That said. I would totally do that but that would be mostly selfish on my part. I am the assistant and I hate to be cold.

His and Hers 20 years ago and His and Hers last year. We recently sold her convertible as her work changed and she wasn't driving it any more.

She's a keeper.

Nice!

No ****ing way my wife would let me work on a car or parts in the house. She’s despised all of them and taught the kids the cars were bad. Now my 24 y/o son realizes this and what she did.

Ask her if you can clean tools and parts in the dishwasher.
During my 911 build I was able to use the dishwasher, oven for front hub races and her bathroom soaking tub for large parts.

If any of you followed my build thread she also sewed a custom trunk carpet liner and quilted firewall.

Anything below 60 is freezing! Lol... seriously it was about more space to work.
