Investment club

So Chocs GE stock got me to thinking. My mother used to belong to an investment club and did reasonably well. Her group would gather once or twice per week and discuss their findings. The group of people here seem to be of above average intelligence ( may be it's all Bull shizzle and for some for sure) We have weight loss, Christmas gifts and others. So why not an investment club? Mind you we want to keep this below the radar. AOC, Pocahontas, Omar and others want to tax us at 70% plus above $10mill so lets not get greedy.

My first pick . CRON- Cronos Group Inc. U.S. attorney general nominee William Barr said he would not go after cannabis companies that comply with state law. Also In December, tobacco giant Altria bought a 38% stake in Cronos for $1.8 billion.

I used NAIC (now Better Inveating) workbooks when I first started investing. I learned a lot. I never joined a club.

Sounds like a great idea. I just started investing in individual stocks and bought some shares of Cronos Group on the advice of a friend. Wow! Up 105% in just over a month.

Careful with those pot stocks, steveo, they can be volatile.

I was a member of a neighborhood NAIC club for about 5 years. I'm pretty sure I still have the template in Excel that mimics the worksheet. We did pretty good at buying, our biggest issue was determining when to sell, although the main focus of NAIC guidelines is buy low and build up your portfolio with the dividends.

Ya, that's for sure! I'm in long with Canopy ($13!) and Aphria and Aurora. Cronos looks good too.

Why not just buy an index fund and get a reliable 12% every year (on average)?

Referred by a rich widow sister-in-law. Her parents had referred her. He's been at it for 32 years. A very diversified portfolio that gets me thru good times and bad...

I bought a bunch of pot a few months back...watched it go up in smoke (1/3 of it), then sold some pot for the first time in my life

You don't want my .014 worth....

I peered into Sammy's "translucent orb" once too...his either
