Please.

Please don't forget Valentine's Day.

It's just too dangerous to forget it.

dad911 02-13-2019 04:23 PM

Celebrated early, today.

Dinner at Hooters.

fanaudical 02-13-2019 04:33 PM

When is it again? Do I need to do something for that?

PetrolBlueSC 02-13-2019 04:55 PM

Thanks. Just called florist.

Baz 02-13-2019 04:58 PM

Sent my card off over a week ago......learned long ago not to wait - a week or two ahead of time is much easier and just as effective - maybe more!

URY914 02-13-2019 05:48 PM

We are buying each other $5 scratch off lottery tickets. ;)

I'll let you know how it goes.

A930Rocket 02-13-2019 06:33 PM

I’ll be out of town tomorrow! :(

And it’s my birthday! :)

THE BIG 60.

We’ll have to wait until the weekend to celebrate both.

Crowbob 02-13-2019 06:35 PM

I asked my GF what’s she getting me for V-Day.

I shouldn’t have.

craigster59 02-13-2019 08:16 PM

She wanted one of those Swiffer dusters with the 6' extension handle. Hey, I'm not complaining.

Superman 02-13-2019 08:22 PM

This is an investment opportunity. Good for her, good for me.

Not sure what to get my best girl now that we've been together since 2012. We've traveled a lot, I've given her many, many gifts in that time. So after a lot of thought I decided on a new set of LED driving lights installed on her lower fork legs.

We agreed a long time ago to not celebrate Hallmark Holidays...we are, however staying at a cabin with freinds this weekend, where we will eat, drink, and laugh. This was a black Friday special at a state park.

Try to celebrate it every day. Much easier and more rewarding all year not just one day.

That's funny. I bought my wife some front and rear running/blinking lights for her road bike. I'll probably have a seizure if I ride behind her but every bit helps.

How could anyone forget Valentines day? The TV commercial, and every store has a display. I guess if you live like the Unibomber, in a cabin in the woods and off the grid, it is possible, but Ted had no girlfriend anyway.

We give each other a card, and token gift. I goat a can of Cashews, she got a vase of pretty flowers. No big deal. Tomorrow night we will go to a fancy dinner. We eat out on every Friday night, but this time it will be the restaurant were we had our first date almost 29 years ago. One of my favorite places.

Craig T 02-14-2019 05:59 AM

OH *****! Thanks!

T77911S 02-14-2019 06:15 AM

it just bit me in the A$$ last night.
I have a girl friend, wife knows her. she is Chinese so I thought I would do something for her too.
was going to get her a single rose and a card but I saw they had pineapple plants.
me and the wife had fun with one last year watching it grow so I got them both pineapple plants,
the girl friend freaked out and asked if I bought the same thing for my wife. no thank you, no I love it. long story short I told her to kiss my A$$.

the wife found hers last night and loves it!! she does not like flowers since they are a waste of money and just die. the wife did not ask if I got one for the girl friend but I will tell her tomorrow.

spent some time in OKC,

what restaurants do you frequent and what is the special one.

one of my lunch favorites was the del rancho on sw59.
cute waitress in there, the owners daughter. It could be a year or more between visits and when I would go back she would have my drink on the table and my order in when I walked in the door. try their fried green beans.

The place I referred to is Pearl's and it is a Cajun and seafood place. They have great food, and I have had many things on the menu, but my favorite is still Shrimp Pearl. Mmmmmmm.

We have tons of great places. Depends on what you want to eat. Send me a PM when you are coming to town. I would be happy to meet up with you at a local restaurant.

Flowers delivered to her work yesterday.
Box of chocolates in the garage to be presented to her tonight.
We are going to have something delivered tonight for dinner.
Valentines dinner reservations made for Monday.

GH85Carrera 02-14-2019 07:08 AM

Back when my wife worked in an office of mostly women, I always had flowers delivered several days before Valentine's and for our anniversary. 90% of that was the jealousy factor. The longer the other women saw the flowers the better.

She liked having all the other ladies know she had a caring and loving husband. It kept her REAL happy, and as any married person knows, happy wife, = happy life.

If your wife works in an office with other ladies, send flowers to her office. She really will appreciate it.

Crowbob 02-14-2019 03:30 PM

So a few Valentine’s days back I’m sitting in the office cube literally minding my own business when all of a sudden I hear the sweetest female harmony emanating from somewhere down at the other end of the cubefarm and getting closer.

Well the four ladies in flamboyant red evening attire including outlandish hats straight out of the Kenutcky Derby were headed straight...for...me!

Yep, I got surrounded by ‘em. No escape route available. Three love songs delivered by order of my then main squeeze.

The very same squeeze from whom I extricated myself by hiring my friend to help me move all my stuff out of the house I was leasing into a storage unit for a month.

After the month was up and the coast was clear, I moved back in as a bachelor once again as was meant to be.
