How does one get 480volt 3 phase battery bank? Solar application
 

Kinda peaked my interest today. I bought a chipper from a couple in the middle of nowhere Globe AZ. They wanted to show off their off the grid solar set up. I bit and talked batteries and applications for a couple hours and headed back.
I guess this is Red Beard's bread and butter. I guess one amasses enough 12 volt batteries to hit 480V, or maybe transformer then phase converter?

I know there's a grant floating around for ag well conversion to solar... priced compared to new genie might be worth it (around 13,000$)...
