The user needs to pay someone else who allows medication.
To achieve health.

Survival or self-determination or human rights has an external price tag..

What human right does the recreational use of marijuana preserve?

john70t 02-20-2019 01:00 PM

If it acts as a beneficial substance, it is a basic human right to self-medicate.
(sorta like vitamins and food choice and spices)

Occams Razor would suggest its usage for the last 10,000+ years might indicate that.

This thread is getting out of hand... everyone have a glass of bourbon and a couple valiums to mellow out

but what about the tremendous health benefits we get from drinking alcohol?

I do find it amusing how so many people don't know the difference between hemp and Mary Jane.

What is your point? Did someone advocate making alcohol legal?

Yep...I winder if their pusher is taking advantage of their ignorance and selling them hemp.

That’s just a rediculous statement. Hemp can’t get you high and will give you a nasty headache if smoked. That “pusher” (nice choice of a outdated word BTW) would be out of business very quickly.

G-d damn the pusher man

Couple reasons for the illegality thing.

Mr Hearst was concerned about his timber interests, had a ton of clout, see Spanish American War.

Mexicans were on the reefer, so they ramp up the penalties to hammer them.

This was stuff that happened 80-90 years ago, a lot has gone down since then, hippies, amirite

That was the point.

"Pusher" was derived from the tactics used to sell/hook folks on illegal drugs. Much like some of the folks that push (advocate) legality....or are involved with legal sales.

You know I've smoked a lot of grass
O'Lord, I've popped a lot of pills
But I mever touched nothin'
That my spirit could kill
You know, I've seen a lot of people walkin' 'round
With tombstones in their eyes
But the pusher don't care
Ah, if you live or if you die

God damn, the pusher
God damn, I say the pusher
I said God damn, God damn the pusher man

You know the dealer, the dealer is a man
With the love grass in his hand
Oh but the pusher is a monster
Good God, he's not a natural man
The dealer for a nickel
Lord, will sell you lots of sweet dreams
Ah, but the pusher ruin your body
Lord, he'll leave your, he'll leave your mind to scream

God damn, the pusher
God damn, I say the pusher
I said…
God damn, the pusher
God damn, the pusher
I said God damn, God damn the pusher man

They've seen the writing on the wall. This is just the beginning, in 5-10 years they will not only not be against it, they will BE it.

One of the biggest pot pushers (and investors) out there today:

My mistake.

I thought you were old enough to remember prohibition.

How is that related to marijuana?

Ha ha! Since I'm prevented from reading PARF, apparently indefinitely, it's amusing to see these wanna-be PARF threads pop up over here. :D

Cliffsnote:
We've gone through this in another thread years ago.

Fint asserts that the subject of MJ is in a category of it's own.
It may not be compared to anything else relevant today.
And it is highly dangerous.

The end.
