Didn't see all of it, highlights today. Spike was a bit off his rocker IMO.

Lots of buffoonery from everyone else. Porter had a nice Tux, if you haven't seen it check it out.

The last time I watched the Oscars was 1997 or so, and I only did it because a girl I liked was into them.

If I wanted to see overpaid celebrities berate me for my views and lifestyle, I can flip on CNN at any time.

I refuse to watch incredibly over paid people with no real value creation pat themselves on the back.

I heard the gift bag was worth like $150K.

So it was on already, can't say I missed seeing it.

Spent EXACTLY ZERO time watching these hyper-hypocrites. I did see where they put up a 'wall' (fence) to keep the undesirables out. Seems to work for them....

My wife taped it and after she watches it, she'll tell me all about it.

And like always, I'll nod my head and pretend like I'm listening because I'm such a caring, giving, sensitive human being.

And after a few minutes she'll realize the futility of it for the go-zillionth time 'cause I ain't no actor, and she'll go about her biddness. And we'll both be happy :)

Spike Lee is a pretty awful person. I like some of his films a lot but he is just a prick. I have a little bit of a personal reason to resent him because my good friend produced Green Book, (which is getting savaged all around for being a bad pick for best picture).

I did not watch the show because I haven’t seen any of the films except for GB and I knew that the telecast would suck. I was out to dinner when the notification popped up on my screen that GB won. I could not believe it. I don’t think that anyone saw that one coming, including the people that made the film.

I think I started a thread here when I screened it a couple months before it came out. Good flick but not really best picture material. Spike Lee is such a sore loser and victim/crybaby though. His film was never going to win anyway.

I watched it - but just for the opening by Queen/Adam Lambert.

I truly can't care less about the oscars. I did not watch.

The afore mentioned Tux/Dress, worn by Billy Porter, whoever he is.

Now I say with certainty, if you wanted to get noticed, up here in the Maritimes,
this Tux/Dress would get that done.

I think Spike's purple outfit was a tribute to Prince. He also was wearing a Prince logo necklace - not fully visible in the above picture.

Also, Lady Gaga singing 'Shallow' made it worth watching. She can really sing.

Yes she can - I'm a big fan.

IMHO though, the Las Vegas version of "Shallow" was heaps better than last night's version.
