Update: Unsure whether to apply oil to this holster, I used my Superman strength to 'work' the leather with my fingers. Now the holster is very functional. Perfect fit. Easy in, easy out.

Well...seeing as how Herr Higgins seems to be busy or derelict, I can report that 911 seats REALLY soak up Obenauf's Leather Oil, as others have reported. That experiment is ongoing.

I have not used oil on the holster, but now that the leather has been 'worked' a bit, this spoon fits this holster VERY nice. The guys at Hunter know what they are doing. Oil is not needed in order to make the holster functional. Hmmmm....

I have never oiled a leather holster in my life. Ever. Supe, as you have discovered, the holster manufacturers seem to have this figured out. Their tanning processes do everything the leather will ever need. Holsters should be tight at first, since they do loosen up and form to the gun with use. All is well - you are on the right track.
