Finally got around to doing some preservation work on the Volvo trim/moldings. Tried this product from Chemical Guys and am very impressed. We'll see how well it holds up.

Before: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739478620.JPG After: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739478620.JPG I had bought these from Walmart and they work pretty good to do this kind of job..... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739478858.JPG |
Baz, I use that on my wife's CR-V and it works really well. I think you're gonna love it. I end up using it about once a year on the trim, it holds up that well.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739483221.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739483221.JPG This is a '13 model year and the right side is the side that is in the sun when it sits on the driveway. Can you tell? |
Thanks, Scott...your wife's CR-V looks GREAT...especially for an '13!
Do you use it on the tires, as well? Because they look great, as well. |
The gas door on the 87 944S (plastic, early ones had metal doors http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739498791.jpg

When Porsche changed from the metal gas door on the 944 series, they also changed the spacing of the gas door hinge.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739499655.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739499655.jpg And Fluff approved. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739499655.jpg Fortunately a easy modification.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739499897.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739499897.jpg |

------------------- Gearing up to do some battery installs/replacements. There's 2 different models here. Four of them for the RC26 and two of them for the RC15. Charging them up before the install this week. The three to the left are brand new. The other three I've had since December. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739737416.JPG |

Wheel pant meet rock!
This wheel pant took a beating.... it's what happens when a rock gets in and goes spin cycle...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1739820854.jpg

My dad used to call them wheel pants too, so that's always the term I use. But it got me wondering - is there differences between a shroud or a pant or a fairing?
