lol. I’m in the same boat. Too good of a deal to pass up, so I bought two. I’ll use the tall one as a bench seat when I work on things. Or set things on it to make it easier to work on.

Damn......now you REALLY got me thinking of getting a 2nd one! They have about 6 more in stock when I got mine. I bet they're still there too.

I checked my HD app and it said there were 23 at my local store. When I got there, I saw 5 on the shelf. They went fast.

I was all about air today.
First thing I did was put a ball valve on the outlet of my portable air tank. It had this stupid little wheel that you turn to open the valve - to small to use with gloves on without knocking the unload valve open. Then I mounted the pressure gauge with a 45 degree street ell. It used to come out horizontally and I had to lift the tank up to eye level to see if there was air in pressure in it.

A year or so ago, when I was still planning a shop out in my barn, I bought this 1/2 inch, 50 foot hose reel to use with my 5 hp air compressor. I never took it out of the box. I've since faced reality - I'm not going to have a nice shop out there - so I mounted it in my little shop.

Son was to drive home from college yesterday, a 100 mile drive. Two negative Covid tests, that’s good. So he’s supposed to leave at noon, but hangs out with his girlfriend and leaves at 4 pm. Except his car battery is dead. Apparently he hasn’t driven his car since the start of the term (!). We have a solar battery tender on the car. Apparently he parks in the shade. His friend comes and jumps him and he gets here for a 7 pm dinner. Kids!

Today we replace his battery. The current one isn’t that old, but he’s let it go dead a couple times so I figure caution is good. He promises to start and run his car every week or so. He assures me he’s been checking the oil and it’s fine. Hmm, how come only the tip of the dipstick has oil? Oh, I’ve been checking THAT one. THAT one is the auto trans fluid dipstick, you want to check the one that says “Engine Oil”. Oh.

This is a 1995 Corolla station wagon. Perfect college kid car. Especially if he’s going to be a dipstick :-)

I have the same hose reel, Patrick - also in it's original box. Waiting to install it when I get my garage/storage rearranged. I wish I could install it but right now it just wouldn't make sense. One day....

Did some work today on my landscape lighting.

Playing around with these LED strip lights.

I was surprised at how well the adhesive worked on the back - stuck well directly on this wood!

Also pleasantly surprised at the brilliance the lights produce!

I have more to install. This is gonna be fun! :p

Finished hanging the pass door on my '56 rat rod. All new oe tinted glass, channel, weather stripping, etc. BTW, it has power windows. Also making progress on the interior

LOL! Been there before. I use the starter! One twist of the key. I do pull the EFI fuse.

I added lights to my fence that I built last year. I was previously using solar lights but due to a lot of trees and shade, my solar lights would only last until 9-10 pm.

In this case, I added very small path lights to the top of my fence which is hidden by a 3" trim piece. I tapped into my existing "12v powered" yard lights.

The junk in front of the fence is being moved away tonight.

This evening I stopped at the local Winn Dixie for provisions.

Last time I was there about a week ago they were painting Christmas themed artwork on their front windows. Three girls doing it, including my neighbor behind me and one house over.

I said "Marie......that yellow surfboard Santa is holding needs a red lightning bolt." I told her about the one I just finished on my front gate. "Go by and check it out and you'll see what I'm talkin' about." I said "Mine's red with a yellow bolt....so yours needs to have a red bolt!"

I saw this tonight and couldn't believe they actually followed my suggestion!

My conversation with them was all very friendly. I even complimented the lady doing the lettering. She actually did a nice job too, as you can see.......:p

I don't have any photos but a long time ago, about 30 years ago, I had a friend who was handicapped. He was sort of an artist so I hired him to paint a Santa scene on my front window of my house. I left it up to him and his own ideas. When I got home, I was surprised to see a beautiful painted sleigh with Santa but Santa's helpers were several topless, volumptious women. It wasn't really suitable for the neighborhood but I left it for a couple of months before time to take down.

edit...I just did the math and it was more like 40 years ago. Boy I'm old.

Cane syrup...keeping a family tradition going after losing my dad this year. The pot we use is my great grandads but the syrup house was built by dad a few years ago.
