Best place to stay for Amelia Island Concours
Hey guys, I'm looking to take my dad to Amelia Island next year (2020), for those of you who have gone what is the place to stay? I'm planning to book this month for next year. I've stayed at the Ritz before for other events, but it's pretty pricey for the Concours.

I used to stay at the Sea Turtle when I was an LT - worked for me  I flew out of Mayport NAS for 4 months and used the ferry all the time.

There's a few smaller hotels (eg Amelia by the Sea, Schoolhouse Inn) and a few B&B's (eg. Elizabeth Point, Hoyt House) available on the island as well. I believe you can find them all on Tripadvisor. We also have 2 Hamptons and a Residence Inn as well. A new Hilton is in the construction phase (not sure on completion date) and they might be doing bookings for that already.

I just got back from the Concourse Amelia Island!
Yessiree the Ritz is nice, very proud of their rooms for that event....but, if you can do it, sure makes life easier.Parking was a bit tricky, I got a good spot.....for 40.00$ I stayed out by Jacksonville airport. Easy 30 minute drive to the event. Hopefully the road construction will be done by the time you go ! Have you checked on the Omni Resort on the island ? That is where the Werks Reunion was . Good luck, I really enjoyed my visit and will be going back next time! |
