Logo/design reccomendations

Getting a new enterprise started and have a logo sketched out, however it is just a hand drawn concept. I have browsed on-line regarding logo designers and the choices are seemingly endless. Has anyone here used a logo service which they can recommend? I have the design, I just need it cleaned up and properly formatted.

Local art college, maybe a student will help out.

Fiverr. There are thousands of people who can do it on there for pocket change. Just make sure you get full rights, license and release to the logo (some won't want to give it up or want royalties for 'their' work even though it's your design).

Make sure it is 'work for hire'. You own the output in perpetuity.

There is a place online out of India where you get to pick one of five designs they give you, runs under $50 if I recall correctly.

I'll ask my wife about it when she gets home tonight, but it will be late.

I've designed a half dozen logos myself going back 35 years ago when I first started designing things.

I'll do a great job, but India is going to be cheaper.

EDIT:
A local family owned printing company takes hand drawn art and puts into computer format (enhanced) so they can print the letterhead and business cards. They charge by the hour.

You might try one of your local shops, that way if they get the font or color wrong the change will be quicker. It's never right the first time around.

My last one was done by another forum member and came out extremely nice.

Sent you a PM with a suggestion. Not sure she has the time now but she used to do this kind of thing as a work a home job and did work for a branch of the Military.

Try The Dangerbrains . They’re out of Florida.

I've had it done a few times and have done a few myself. The results have varied with both methods. Work with someone that will give you a few choices. You may end up blending elements from 2 or more for the final result.

This one I didn't touch.

I have used Fiverr and I'm very happy with the results.
There is no way I'm paying hundreds or thousands to a designer, a good designer in India will do the same for $20

I used Dave Becker Design out of Pa on recommendation from a family member. I like what he did for me.

99designs

This is who we used for our startup. It was awesome. We had about 800 proposals. It cost $800 Canadian.

Try and work those reflecty trucker girl badges that grace the mudflaps of quality vehicles across the country into the logo, so it is classy
