Until the last few years, I could never take a nap. But now on the weekends, if I lay on the bed, I’m out for 1-2 hours and slow to get up. Makes going to sleep that night a little tougher sometimes.

I sleep very sound at night for 5-6 hours and never feel the need for a nap during the daytime.

I've read that some folks are like that and it's a genetic thing. For most folks that's inadequate.

What were you going for there? Judgmental, moralistic, preachy, sanctimonious, self-righteous, or all of the above?

One of my best friends gets by on 4-5 hours of sleep a night.

While it works for him I don't think that's normal.

One of the best things in life is an unplanned nap...preferably outside.

Not everyone has won the genetics lottery, and work out endlessly to stroke thier ego. Both your post, (and mine) sound rather judgemental.

I can take a nap during a prayer in church. My wife used to think I was praying extra.

Up until I recently retired I was up at 4:30 and doing physical work until I finished what was necessary that day. The last couple of years I would start getting drowsy once I settled back into my truck and driving back to my warehouse. Twice I fell asleep stopped at a red light. Car horns definetly ruined my mellow. I’ve never been a 5-6 hour sleeper. I’ve always napped after work for 15-20 minutes.
