Just what I need here in warm, dry SoCal. The Forest Service and CalFire would be entertained.

I sometimes tire of removing pine needles from my driveway but I can usually do it while wearing shorts. I had a picture of our last trash day before moving south…two snow shovels leaned up against the trash can. I do not miss snow!

When I was doing home energy audits, I was looking at the breaker panels for a bungalow in a town about 50 miles from here. The regular panels were there, along with one which looked like it would power an industrial site. Turns out the builder of the house was an engineer who didn't like the idea of shoveling snow. He had electrical heating coils installed under the driveway! Even before the price of electricity went up, he had to stop, as the water melting off his driveway would run out on to the street and build ice formations there.
So close! Best Les |

Had a neighbor with a heated walkway to the garage, which worked pretty good.
Others dig channels to drain ice water pooling on the sidewalk. Run-off and grading important for any plan.
