Write down the serial numbers and take pics.
Report them stolen. Then anonymously turn them in. When the cops get in touch with you that they found your stolen bikes tell them you just left town and please hang on to them till you get back.

I kinda like that idea but I'll bet the German authorities are a little too efficient for it to work

Leave 'em at Flojo's house. He's got plenty of room.

Google shows a few self storage places. Rent an enclosed storage locker for a few months.

Vash: I am in Stuttgart, so ~2-2.5 hours by car from Frankfurt (or 1 hour by train). If you can get them to me, you're more than welcome to store them at my house. |

Sorry... I think I had just finished reading one of Vash's threads when I first responded... didn't mean to call you by another name. I will send you an email at your user name with my contact info so you can get in touch if you want to take me up on the offer... |

That was an extremely generous offer. Really wanted to take you up on it just to get to Stuttgart to meet and have a beer. Next time. Thanks! Found a hotel a few k from Frankfurt airport that was more than happy to keep them. They will also pick you and your bikes up from the airport and store your cases or boxes while you're on your trip. If anybody needs their info. contact me. |
