Tiger is one of the few that comes back from something like that, he hits some terrible T shots and still comes out good. He seemed very well focused.

Chocaholic 04-14-2019 02:04 PM

And Tiger is only in his early 40’s.

CurtEgerer 04-14-2019 02:05 PM

Dustin Johnson is going to move back to No 1 in the world by quite a large margin. He just seemed to be the invisible man again with hardly any TV coverage  He's just out there quietly doing his thing and at the end everybody's surprised he's just 1 shot back. The guy's a workhorse. Pretty sure Koepka will move to No 2.

But Tiger won 1.2 million for this.

javadog 04-14-2019 04:34 PM

More like $2 million...

I'm not sure what your point is??? The world rankings don't have anything to do with earnings, only results on the course. The Masters and other majors are heavily weighted in the points earned for positions 1-2-3. So there's going to be some significant movement in the rankings tomorrow morning.

BeyGon 04-14-2019 06:13 PM

the point is he will get by,

yellowperil 04-15-2019 02:52 AM

Why were fans booing Kuchar?, or it seemed they were.

t6dpilot 04-15-2019 03:00 AM

Kooch, Kooch!! His name shortened.

Good on you Tiger. Like Curt said, any one of about 10 guys could have won that tournament. That was about the most exciting back nine at the Masters I have ever seen.

Thanks, I get it now. Same as Loochin' for Milan Lucic

CurtEgerer 04-15-2019 03:25 AM

I know I could get by on $2 mil, not sure about Tiger ;)

Before the tournament started my daughter asked me who to pick for her office pool. I told her to take Tony Finau. His game sets up great for Augusta. He was right there, but 12 did him in (as well as Molinari).

Great tournament. So many had a chance to win. Tiger played some amazing shots and made all the putts. Molinari made all the putts - until he didn’t. As they say, “at the Masters, the tournament starts on the back nine on Sunday.” That turned out to be true again.

So who's watching the PGA Championship this week? Koepka posted the lowest 36-hole score in major tournament history at 12 under - he looks unstoppable but, of course, 2 days to go  And it looks like Jordan Spieth is finally playing well again!

I’ve been watching some of it, when I can. It looks like it’s Koepka’s tournament to lose.

widgeon13 05-18-2019 03:23 AM

Did the whore master miss the cut (upps, did I spell that correctly)?

CurtEgerer 05-18-2019 04:16 AM

Tiger got cut yesterday, 17 shots off the lead  Unfortunately, John Daly got cut too, but went out in style :D

So it looks like Brooks has a good shot at making history tomorrow. First player in the history of golf to hold 2 back-to-back Majors titles at the same time. If he wins, he'll have won the 2018 and 2019 PGA Championships and the 2017 and 2018 US Opens (2019 US Open is next month).

javadog 05-18-2019 04:10 PM

He’s been playing really good golf lately, I think he’s bound to win this weekend.

CurtEgerer 05-20-2019 06:31 AM

Turned out to be a good tournament towards the end with DJ making a good run at it and getting within 1 stroke. Brooks has now won 4 Majors in less than 2 years and has moved up to No. 1 in the world and money leader for 2019 at $6 million! Not bad. US Open up next in June.

t6dpilot 05-20-2019 07:01 AM

I missed this one. Brooks certainly looked like he would run away with it. Nice to see that DJ made a run at the end. He just stoically gets "it" done. I honestly did not think that Tiger would be in it from the beginning. His pregame comments didn't sound confident.

John Daly is a mess...
