31 mph...
I would so be dead too. |
Yet another critter from Australia that can kill ya.
|
Strange looking bird.
This caught my eye: ......the man was her fiance and that they had been together about 20 years. Engaged for 20 years?!?! |

Maybe he said "I'll marry you when Hell freezes over" and she took it as a proposal and was just waiting .... |

Sad story but "he died doing what he loved." |
He died doing what he loved?
I don’t think he loved trying to keep his intestines inside his body cavity after being gashed open. Why do people always say that stupid line The skydiver died going what he loved? No love plummeting to your death |
Closest thing we have to a velociraptor on earth today.

“He was doing what he loved,” she said, adding that she did not want to talk anymore." You place your bet and take your chances, every time someone jumps out of an airplane they know it might be their last jump. known to attack people and animals if they feel threatened. “The cassowary is rightfully considered the most dangerous bird in the world! Each 3-toed foot has a dagger-like claw on the inner toe that is up to 4 inches It was his choice to raise exotic birds and he knew full well this bird could kill him in a fraction of a second... but he did it anyway... why do you suppose he did that? |

The last few minutes of life is seldom peaceful regardless of the mechanism by which you die, I imagine. |

I've seen them in the wild a few times. Pretty amazing bird. The father raises the kids while Mom runs around like a cougar in heat.....
|
It just seems like a silly statement to me
He may have loved what he did, but probably not those last few moments |

Another silly statement that gets me.
Razor like. Right. With enough force, a 2x4 would cleave open a man. Those claws are certainly menacing, but hardly razors. That’s an awful way to go. |
Man, never left his home died on his couch watching TV.
Wife said he died doing what he loved. Life is full of choices. |
Why would someone have one of these.
I've gotten some private tours of the Houston Zoo when the company I work for made donations and I clearly recall my host pointed out the Cassoway as the most dangerous wild animal in the zoo. |
I also got kissed by Cali the seal on one of these zoo visits.

Most people have at least some risk in their profession. I spent almost 30 years working in a profession that at one time was ranked in the top three most dangerous. We managed over the years to make that profession one of the safest now, but if I had gotten killed back then people would probably have said I had it coming or should have known. Bottom line was I knew the risks. I managed what risk I could, and accepted the rest. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1555346599.jpg |
