1st kill of the spring

I noticed some tunneling activity near my driveway.
Late last night I set out a trap.
This morning, it was already tripped! :)

With about 4 more like him...I could make a mole-skin hat.

Is that a set of mole grips?

Step-down mole trap.
Easiest mole trap to set. Just lay it over the active run..step on the top to spread the jaws until the trigger rests on the ground..done.

You just need a good mole dog. This guy found a tiny hole in the yard yesterday, opened it up and was half submerged looking for prey. :)

^^^ That looks like a gopher hole.
Moles make ridges showing where they are tunneling...with no holes showing. They feast on grubs and worms under the sod. Just one mole can make a lawn look terrible.
Gophers are easy to catch with a water jug.
