Anyone seen it yet?

I don't see the point in watching the movie. I got the message from the trailer.

But thanks for bringing it up.

People are often afraid to see the truth...

Anyone know if it is based on a true story?

javadog 04-17-2019 04:56 PM

Yes, it is based on a true story. I have not seen the movie and I can’t vouch for its accuracy, but I’m sure there’s plenty written about it on the Internet by now.

I am meh over it, hey hon!! Lets go on a date night and watch a movie about Abortion - Said no one ever.

As I have said in other threads, I am anti Abortion / Pro choice. Personally not a fan of Abortion, yet, I understand people have the right to choose.

The moment Government dictates morality, that is a bad day.

Furthermore, the Government should not be funding abortions either. If they are so important, let it be handled by philanthropy or non profits.

Graphic war movies - OK
Maniac murderer movies - OK
Aliens killing millions of humans movies - OK
Stories about news-people hounded by the government to find out -about a conservative politician and having friends killed - heck yeah.

A very dramatic true life story about a woman who worked for and believed in Planned Parenthood until she didn't want an abortion, had a change of heart and realized abortion is murder, and was then shunned - heck no! All that killing is not fun and it doesn't fit our agenda that says killing babies is OK. Lets go back to psycho-maniacs with chainsaws. That's more wholesome.

What a shock.

(no reflection on anyone here).

My wife & I saw it. Very well done and MUCH to the disdain of hollywood and the left, it’s exceeding the projections even the producers had for it. It’s a child, NOT a choice.

I'll see it when it shows up on TV.

If you want to discuss it, at some point it is going to go to PARF.

I took my sons to see They shall not grow old. due to its historical significance and mostly due to the fact that is was actual footage restored.

I cannot remember the last time I went to the movies to see a Maniac Murder movie.

Alien movies are fiction - fiction is there to entertain.

Conspiracy movies are in the same boat as Murder, not something I would spend money to see.

When we go to the movies (maybe 1 to 2x a year) we tend to see something light and fun.

Thinking back, the last movie I was in the theater to see was the last Avengers and last Star Wars. That is it. I honestly try not to give Hollywood any of my money. The land of casting couches and pedophiles needs to crash and burn and be put in its rightful place. Court Jester.

So yes, hard pass on seeing a depressing movie about abortions, I will check it out when it makes it to the little screen.

I also skipped Schindlers list when it was in the movies, no way I was seeing something with that content in a movie theater. Unless I was Jerry Seinfeld on a date, then maybe. That was reserved for home.

I have not seen it either but want to. My wife has and one of the guys I play golf with has and both say it was excellent. My wife said she had to close her eyes during some of it. Don't think it's meant to be entertainment as much as informative. And we wonder why there's such a low regard for the value of life today?

Based on a "true" story in that an organization called "Planned Parenthood" exists and a woman used to work there and then quit. I think the rest of it is embellished.
