live axle suspension tech

Occasionally something comes along for live axle cars. If one were weighing benefits and drawbacks of panhard bar or Watts link location vs triangulated 4 bar, this seems to be a big jump forward for 4 bar suspension articulation. Anyone care to comment on this suspension technology?

several things here. First, I get the point. Heims, monoballs, etc articulate better and more freely. Have forever. In their "scale" model they shrunk down the rear axle but left the bushings std. size. Shrink the bushings down proportionate to the axle and that force needed will change. Also over tightening of the bushing bolts will affect the stiffness. Again, I get their point and this model will convince the intended purchaser. But as with most manufacturer supplied props, there's more than meets the eye.

Wish they would have just talked about how their joints are better than heims, monoballs, uniballs, etc.

Exactly. Build a test model using normal rod ends and show us why the new ones are better.

This is just the guy at the carnival midway comparing shamwow to paper towels as far as I'm concerned.

My question is, how long do they last ?. I have standard heim joints on my trucks traction bars and I will be amazed if they make 10,000 miles. I have to have the bars or it wheel hops instantly if I stand on it a little.

I had Heim,or Rose as we call them in England, joints on my Mini- Marcos front end. Even on a 600kg car , they wore out very quickly on the road.

This seems to be the feature that makes it different...if it works as advertised.

Key design features include a self-lubricating bearing cage and a spring-loaded locking mechanism that maintains constant tension. Premature wear and noise are eliminated.
