Frunks

Made me smile. Kinda disappointed they didn't mention Porsche or old VW's. Like they "discovered" something. ROW really just discovering the word.

Nice friday rant below. I still like the word, don't require accuracy in my humor.

It is a totally STUPID word.

Every 914 and Boxster has two trunks. Do you call the one in the back a runk or a rrunk? What does one call the trunk on the average car on the road that is in the back? I know the British call it a boot, and that is OK. But frunk is just 100% stupid. I does not even make sense. It is just a trunk, no matter where it is located.

Rant over.
Call it whatever stupid name you want.

They mentioned beetles in the third sentence.

I prefer "boot" and "bonnet" for 914s.

Now get off your lawn, you damn kids.

No, this is a trunk.

I like "frunk". I didn't read the article, but I like having 2 in the boxster or even just the one in the front in my old 911. Those poor sods in the UK, "Frboot" is MUCH harder to say than "frunk".

Now come on, everybody lets get the frunk out!

+1

Can’t stand it. It’s fairly stupid, if you think about it for half a second.

I prefer "place to put the bodies" ;)

My Chrysler 300 has room for two dead bodies in the Trunk.
And you don’t even have to chop them up 👍 😆

new vehicles with new spaces based on old vehicles with old spaces...Electric Frunkensteins!

This car has a trunk and a frunk. When talking to fellow 914 enthusiasts they know exactly which one you are talking about. IMHO AFAIK If anyone wants to complain about words, how about how acronyms have filled every day language? WTF is up with that?

That is simply FUBAR.

Proper acronyms are abbreviations that may be pronounced as words.

SCUBA, POTUS and the like.

Nobody gives an eff, though. Not one single eff. (NOSE)
