Gearing up for Indy
I love following the run up to Indy that happens this time of year. Interesting that Alonso and McLaren seem to be having a few teething issues.

yea, Indycar is a fantastic series.
Indy will be additionally intriguing with an overbooked field and the tension associated with bumping. |
Yea, 34 cars for 33 spots. I can feel the excitement now.

Hearing rumors that Porsche could be the third engine supplier. I would like that very much.
|
I can't make it to Indy this year, but have been twice--in 2009 and 2016, for the 100th running. Both times were fantastic.
|
Wa.. wa... what? A McLaren at Indy? Rumors of Porsche?
The end is near... dog and cats living together! |
Never bet against Penske...
|
Yes, Alonso is in a McLaren at Indy, not with any other team, so the learning curve will begin. He has the skills, but we'll wait to see if his team has the knowledge to back up his driving.
|
Porsche has been shafted twice by Indy politics. I don't see them going back for more. I expect them to put all their eggs in the slot cars basket.
