Before, I was using Win7 with NoScript and was actually feeling guilty that website owners might not be getting paid for their ad content which didn't load on my computer.

Not any more...
It seems every website has gone back to multiple window pop-up advertisements.
(You guy remember the infinite windows with the hydra effect? aka virus)
Do advertisers think this technique really works?
Can customers really be bullied into wanting a product?
After seeing the same brand name too many times through forced ads I think it actually creates the opposite effect and builds consumer resistance.

This morning after ten ads, I suddenly do not want to buy a Nissan under any circumstances. Not sure why.

You can add on lots of crap to block it...I never have personally.

I just use my phone with Javascript disabled mostly...(turning it on as neccessary....minimal for me)....same result...YMMV.
