Installed iSimple HF BLU Bluetooth Adapter in Cayenne

The pig came with a Becker CD23 AM/FM/CD with Bose. Really missed Bluetooth connectivity (music streaming, VR with the dear Miss SIRI [hands free calling, enabling music streaming, asking SIRI dumb@$$ questions] caller name, and song title and artist, WAZE misdirecting me).

So being the cheap b@$t@rd that I am, rather than spending major bucks, I bought the unit above and for $100 including shipping, all I can say is wow! The install involved connecting two wires, ground and switched-on power, inserting a Fraka antenna adapter, which you may not need and mounting the microphone and multifunction button. Total time 3 hours to disassemble and reinstall trim, route and connect wires and the try to stuff 10 lbs of poo into a 5 lb... So what’s the catch, you ask? The dealeo is that to just run on two wires it runs through a FM frequency. It's a Bluetooth to FM transmitter - you connect your phone via bluetooth to the device, then tune your radio to the specific FM frequency. Basically, this thing creates an FM station in your car that plays audio from your phone. They are universal, will fit any car as long as you get the correct adapter for the antenna cable. The iSimple can be mated to virtually any radio to keep the precious original stock look, not my concern, but for the sneaky purists... This is the one I bought but you may need a different model for your vehicle. iSimple iSFM2351 Bluetooth Hands-Free and Audio Streaming for all FM Radios :: Bluetooth
