what is this scam ? VA benefits email
I get an email about once a week to perform an online VA benefits survey that will show what VA benefits I am entitled to . It specifically mentions housing benefits . OK sounds great but I never served in the military  So what is this scam all about ? I have not filled out the survey and I have no intentions to . I'd be really pissed  if this type of crap is taking away from real vets that may need the services :( Anyone else getting a similar email survey ?

There are so many scams anymore it must be a challenge for legitimate business to continue. Just two days ago according to caller ID I was calling myself. My call number was calling my land line, and I was sitting right here, not using my cell. On the second call, my wife yelled to quit bother her which was almost comical. She knew it was a BS scammer, but at some point one has to make jokes about it.
I get the email that claims to be from E-bay, and one from PayPal that has a convenient link to click on to log in and double check my information. I have had those from cred card companies that I don't even have an account with. I have no idea how to solve the problem except maybe the death penalty for scammers. Just thin the herd of them some. |
It's probably just a direct mail blast to a list heavy on vets, looking for VA loan refi or purchase business. Not enough info here to know this is a scam.

Could be a way for them to try and get info from people to steal identities. “What s your mom’s maiden name?” Enter your social security number on this line so we can search for your benefits sort of crap.

dont click on any links. spyware, info grabbing... go to the va to check whats up. va.gov is full of good stuff.
