How much do tattoos cost?

No, I'm not getting a tattoo at 62 YO and please don't come here and bash people who do like them.

Several years ago my brother past away and i toyed with the idea of getting a memorial on my shoulder, I seem to remember the guy quoting me around $80-90 an hour?

I ask because I see people buying food at the grocery store with food stamps wearing raggy cloths with multiple tats,

So, say, what does a sleeve cost?

I think I heard $140 an hour up here. I met a hot chick. Her sleeve was multiple day visits that could add up on a big job I imagine. She Told me she had more trip to finish. He art was pretty fantastic.

I got one in Beijing,and it was cheap compared to NY prices.. Of course they used toxic radioactive ink.. about $50 and it covers one shoulder..

I got one of my forearms done in NY and was charged $150, I think it was two hours of pain.. and the guy did it basically freehand.. Most people who ask are basically shocked when I tell them my forearm ink cost $150....

BTW I'm 58 and really not to worried about what other people think..I'm stepping off the employment train pretty soon..

My forearm... The start was just the water sign, I'm an Aquarius... then the wave was added later..because I've lived on the the water my whole life..

All in on mine is $195, $45 for the water sign, $150 for the wave and sun

That's probably one of the coolest tatoo's Ive ever seen . I got my hair cut yesterday. Girl had both arms done, even on the bottom, up into her pit .

True..I know a young woman who had some innocent phrase tattooed on her neck, It it costing her much more to have it removed than it cost the guy in the DR to ink it...

Depends on the size and location of where it is being done..and how you are at dealing with the pain..or if it a point in the work that can be paused..

Getting inked hurts... and some parts of the body are most sensitive than others..

I went to one place with some pictures of those Japanese Waves , and pics of water tats, and was quoted $400 to start, Then I saw a woman at the gym with really nice art.. and I asked her who did it?, I went and talked with that guy, and the wave was done for $150..

Depends on the complexity and how long you can stand the needles. My guy has a six month waiting list these days. I have just under three months to go until my next appointment. I have the Porsche crest on my forearm and the outline and color were done at once. This next one I am not sure about yet. Not even sure I will be adding color.

Guy up the road from me owns a tattoo parlor he has 2 late model Porsches in his driveway and a custom harley in his garage.

My SIL has a tramp stamp. (Tatoo on lower back) first is said Bobby's girl gor her 3rd husband then it was reworked to say Nick's Girl for her 4th husband, that was reworked and she got her 5th husband's name across he butt cheek. She just divorced #5 and is dating potential #6. I have no idea what she is doing with her cheek tatoo, hard to keep track of her.

Huge respect for her though, she never gives up on love.
