When I was 16 I had a '65 bug that I thought was the fastest thing around.
I took it to the bug-in at OCIR and my dial in was 14.4 seconds.
Humbling.

15 years ago for sure. Not today! My body could never take it. Way too much spinal damage.

But, I would love to if I could.

You can't turn a 3 second burst into a full lap. ;):D But the braking G's of the F1 car would rival the acceleration of the detuned dragster.

I had a Corvette that ran in the 13's at Lion's. And that was with a tall rear end. Never got into the drags though.

Are there any Pro Stock rides? It seems a 7 second run would damn sure get the adrenaline pumping at a far lower cost.

My favorite class. Yes, winding it out through the gears has got to be a visceral experience. Seems easy enough to install a 2nd seat.

I drove a stock car at Las Vegas (recommended) and my wife took a ride in a 2-seater. I can tell you the driver took her on a fast lap. I did 140 on my last lap on the old (flatter) track and I could tell by the RPM's that she was likely at 20 MPH faster on her ride. We were instructed to stay between the hash marks which were pretty much down the middle all the way around. Her driver took it to the wall! I think she said she winced coming off 2.

I like em all but I also favor the Pro Stocks.

Yep. Not a huge fan of drag racing, but experiencing that acceleration would be awesome.

I took my Speedster to the strip once in the mid 70s. I turned a 15+ run. We could have match raced.
I no doubt would have been the crowd favorite. :D
