I try to avoid gloating until someone from a much less desirable place knocks my state, especially with the distorted observations of a hapless tourist, stuck on the freeway. If you split California in half, north/south, either one would still be the most beautiful state. They take surveys of travel writers and it’s not even close. Alaska and Hawaii jostle for second place, depending on the survey. The states that most California haters live in wouldn’t make the top 40.

So yeah, I’ll stick up for my great state! SmileWavy

I’ve spent cumulative months in SoCal over the last few years. Seen a lot of things, been a lot of places, had some pretty drives. I don’t like KS but you couldn’t pay me enough to live there. But I’m glad you’re happy!

I don't notice hardly any 911s pre '89 on the roads anymore. I've seen a couple of long hoods in the past couple of years, and they looked like they were restored. Very nice. The last older Porsche I saw was about a week ago on I-8. It was (what looked like) a 356B - silver coupe - on a fairly large flat bed truck. I was thinking it would have been so much better to have driven it, but don't know where it was headed for. I was also thinking how now days these cars are hauled from one place to another on a truck, which is kind of a sad thing.

Lately, I see only a few aircooled 911s running around South OC each week. Lots of water cooled ones though.

To those that can’t help running down CA...stay away. It’s terrible here. You live in a relative paridise compared to us. Stay away.

I need to come clean, I love California. Great place just the people that live there kind of ruin it, They seem to be so sensitive to any criticism :)

Sorry if it’s sideways but I had to snap it quick. Still see them around here. I think they sold a lot in Colorado back then. Funny the red light reflection in my intercooler scoop.

I agree, most people in AZ live in Phoenix, a big ugly city like LA.
I live in Tucson, here is a picture 5 miles from my househttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1559485443.jpg

Plenty of water cooled 911's here in North Canton. Swanky newer ones, to boot. I see very few air cooled. Like, a handful per year. I don't think I have seen a 993 in years.

FWIW, This was two weeks ago heading south on 77 through Akron. Truck plates were Maine. Eclectic grouping of cars. May have been a single person's stash?

Hmmm, I’ve seen only one 993 in the last month in my area. I’m still seeing a few air-cooled vdubs running around down here.

Well OK, this is a picture I took 2007, but plenty of them out there! ;) Mine is the white on near the rear. :)
