I love Porsche.

I installed my LATCH kit to allow the child seat to be correctly installed in the pass's seat of the Boxster this weekend. That includes the 2 loops in the seat that allow the seat to be strapped in and the airbag cutoff switch.

I haven't done much work/maintenance on the Boxster since it was CPO and I live in an apt so no space to work on a vehicle. It was nice getting into it a little. What I also appreciate whether it was in my old '88 targa or in the new boxster is how nicely everything goes together and comes apart. Are there some things that are more difficult than others? Sure. But compared to a lot of other cars that I've worked on in the past, these things seem like they are put together so they are repairable versus disposable. Even the modern car still seems very well engineered.

The only downside is that now, I have to get a shop with a PIWIS to program the computer to pay attention to the cutoff switch. Fortunately, he's currently small enough and light enough that he doesn't trigger the weight sensor for the pass's airbag, so it's not a big deal if it takes me a few days to get it someplace for the programming.
