quiet air compressor - California Air Tools
Anyone using one of the 'California Air Tools' compressors?
I was thinking of getting this for nail guns: https://smile.amazon.com/California-Air-Tools-1610SQ-Compressor/dp/B008GW2DDQ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=1610SPQ&qid=1558446791&s=gateway&sr=8-1

If you want quiet do not get the Harbor Fright CP 21gal 2.5hp 125psi.
That thing is louder than a Deep Purple concert. .25 on the Richter Scale. |

I have the 1020A ultra-quiet. I love the thing. It is used primarily for tires and other light duty stuff including driving staples from time to time. I converted all of my air tools to battery powered Milwaukee.
The unit has been running perfectly for almost three years. For other heavy duty stuff I used canned CO2 and a Power Tank. That thing has got some bones but I only use it for bigger nail guns and hand grinders.

I have one of these for light duty. Well built, good price point and yep, super quiet.

Plus 3 on the quiet. Really glad I bought one even though it's one on 5 that I own. The next quietest is the little Senco which can be had with different branding. Then comes the cast iron 3 HP SpeedAir.
Other than the first 2 I mentioned, don't buy any direct drive compressors. |
