My 74th Birthday Present From The Wife
She outdid herself this year, no pajamas, no jewelry, but the pair of 1858 Remington 44's pictured below. She got them off GunBroker and the were made in 1999 with consecutive serial numbers. They have all the Italian proof marks and the main frame is stainless steel and the barrels are rifled. Checked the front sight blade with my laser bore sight and it showed pretty close to right on.
Took them to the range today and they shot the center out of my home made Shoot-N-See type of target with two cylinder loads each at 25 yards. There were a bunch of semi-auto shooters and they had target hits all over the place, mostly 9mm or 45 ACP. I'll post a picture of the target tomorrow.

Very nice..and the wife really loves you.
I have just one in ss. Very good quality..and ss is less corrosion prone. The Europeans use original 58's in their bp matches. |
