customer support

its unbelievable to me. but honestly, i am naive; doe-eyed and innocent. i am actually surprised when something goes awry.

when i order something. it is with blistering speed and precision how fast my CC gets hit. damn near instantaneous. with any luck, the process slows only a little bit and i get the chingadero i ordered.

but when i does go bad..hahah..it is comical.

i ordered motorcycle pannier racks. promised a delivery date. that date comes and goes. i called and they move it a week and a half back, telling me they are still in fabrication (oh-o). the new date comes and goes and i call them again...i can hear them talking muffled..the guy just has the phone compressed to his chest. i cant hear the words, but i can feel the urgency. (oh-o). guy comes back on a pushed the date again. he says, "somehow we forgot your order"..i called yesterday. "we are boxing them right now!"

err.. still nothing.

i think in another life i would love to run a business. i would have step by step updates. especially if there is any fabrication. i think it would be cool to see my stuff welded..and move along the process.to powdercoating.

i'm calm in my older years. in my youth, i would haunt the guy. i wisely ordered stuff with a lot of float in my schedule. but eff!! the way people run businesses..blows my mind.

My best customer service company I work with is ULINE. They are a office/shipping supply outlet that is uber efficient. I can order large palletized items before noon on one day, and expect a freight truck showing up the next day around noon. I work in NW Ohio, and this company ships out of Wisconsin...always freindly on the phone, and the drivers are also freindly.

I often use thier model as an example of how things SHOULD be done, unfortunately not many companies adhere to this belief.

Why don't you cancel your order and tell them to refund your money? Tell them to let you know when your stuff is available and ready and you can reorder at that time.

I feel your pain vash, but laughed at the chingadero as well. I have heard different pronunciations of that word but knew exactly what you meant.

Kevco has some of the best customer service I have ever dealt with.

Jegs on the other hand my wife had one of the worst experiences.

Make sure the tracking number works. Just sayin, until you can track the package, it's meaningless.

Huge pet peeve when a vendor sells you something they don’t have or that’s actually not made anymore. Stupid and 100% way to ensure a lowsy customer experience.

chiggadero. No "n" around here. Must be a regional thing. (gawd,I hope it's not racist. I once called flip flops "j** flaps" later in life around the wrong person. Learned my lesson well.)
