Right, silly me. The power wall is plugged into my nonexistent solar shingles.

Shutoff switch. Buried fuel and water tanks. Generator (4-stoke for the environment of course).
Stock up on precious metals for trade or gifting.

Since there are only 12 years before global warming destroys the world, who cares if CA fries first?

Still, it’s nice of you to worry about us Californians.

For what you pay for electricity I would think they could keep the power on.

National avg.12.83 kwh
Oklahoma 9.66
Cali 19.3

Edit: I just checked my electric bills over the past year and my monthly average is $81.09.

Don't know what people expect. If any of you ran a power company who was financially responsible for any fire damage caused by your equipment even if you exceeded every safety regulation put in place, you would do the exact same.

There are a lot of reasons to hate PG&E, but turning off the power to avoid more litigation isn't one. They have no choice left

I hope you have a mild season with few fires.

They need to keep trees trimmed. I see where they are spending a couple billion to do so. They should also maximize underground service in critical areas.

Wildfires have ravaged Cali and Okla, for 1000's of years. When we build in fire prone areas we should expect fires to be very destructive.

A huge part of your problem is continued building in those critical areas and by doing so it will only get worse.

And if you try to stop the fires you will only increase the undergrowth which will cause even bigger fires moving forward. You are in a difficult spot.

Seems punitive to me. They could just clear the area around the power lines of vegetation and keep them clear.

Spray helicopters with brush killer could do the trick...
