The Rest of the 'Catch Me if You Can' Story

Frank Abagnale is a terrific speaker - the first 28 minutes are spell-binding. Do yourself a favor and watch.

Wow.
I couldn't turn it off at 30 minutes-just kept on going. The password thing is interesting. Since this was released in 2017, I wonder how that has progressed.

Great stuff! And actually I think the advice given starting around 30:45 is golden.

Just watched the whole thing.
THANKS for sharing Paul, it was great hearing his side of the story.

masraum 06-09-2019 10:28 AM

watching now, thx.

He gives a very entertaining speech. If I’m not mistaken, he lived for 25 years in a house about two blocks from where I grew up.

Cool, thanks for sharing

Will be watching later. A fascinating story. Especially after the movie.

masraum 06-09-2019 12:09 PM

Interesting, both his lifes' story and his thoughts on the future of cyber security

I did some cursory reading on Trusona, the password elimination process. First of all, it requires where you want to log in to be running that feature, and secondly it is primarily for mobile devices. So, it will be awhile before you can log in to Pelican with a scan code. ;)

Edit: Frank gave the same speech in 2013 AFA his life story goes almost word for word:

WOW! Cool guy. Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to watch the movie again tonight.

For those that want another source than youtube.

I remember him from Cassette tape days as a kid, dad would play a narrative on cross country trips.

Got the hour to watch. Lots to be gained from this. Number one to me is to always be grateful that I was raised by a mother AND a father.

sc_rufctr 06-12-2019 01:51 AM

Certainly a smart guy that found a better path in life.

Brilliant video. Well worth the time!

ckelly78z 06-12-2019 02:06 AM

I can't watch the video at work, but loved the movie with DeCaprio, and Hanks.

I agree. I was raised in the Leave it to Beaver era, mom was always home. Dad often was gone for 3 months at a time on TDY assignment often on the other side of the world, but then home for several weeks and back to normal schedule. I always knew I was loved, and would have a bed to sleep in, and food to eat. I was taught to work for my goals. The were married for over 50 years before death do they part.

I got to see him speak at Spiceworld last year. His real story is much more interesting than the movie. Lots of good information.
