Still looking ..
Supposedly a very rare unit produced in the mid 70s
That is what the "salesman" told me when he sold it to me.
In the processes of life it has disappeared..and I am trying to replace it
I look at them all for sale and cant find the exact match.
So maybe, there is a weird one out there somewhere/??

Also- it was very Heavy for its size.

Bottom line, it’s a fun hobby but don’t buy equipment because Fremer gave it a good review. He gives everything a good review…as do most reviewers.

Yup, its a system with many variables that individually influence what reaches your ears.

The primary metric should be if what you hear makes you happy. I changed my phono stage because it was an entry level (and highly rated) unit for one that cost more and also highly rated. I am happier now because I hear more detail in the music.

I am in Prague on a short vacation and happened by a shop, looked more like a gallery, for these turntables www.440audio.eu. Unbelievably beautiful designs fully custom for material, tone arm, cartridge.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1734255517.png

Interesting, in lieu of three equally sized spikes or four feet, they chose something similar to training wheels on a bicycle.

I find their mixing of materials intriguing and beautiful.

Had a long talk with the designer’s son yesterday in their shop. Took some pics. The website and pictures do not really do the beauty of these designs justicehttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1734263936.jpg

I did not get the name, but one tone arm was pretty cool. It looked fairly normal, though clearly high end, but it was hinged to allow for tangential tracking. Had a set of three hinges near the pivot which kept the cartridge 90degrees to the record.
