Curved treadmill, anyone?

I saw one of these (not the brand below, but the same style) a couple of weeks ago in the fitness room at my son's apt complex and since no one was around, I jumped on it for a min or two to try it out.

For those that don't know, these don't have a motor at all, you power the treadmill as you run, so the treadmill goes at the speed that you run unlike a regular treadmill that is motorized and goes at the speed that you set it to go.

It would take a little getting used to, but I think it would be good once you did get used to it.

The thing that is a little surprising is how expensive these are, especially considering that they aren't motorized.

Cheaper and non-motorized. :)

Cycling and running are two different things. I don't plan on buying one.

I realize that. The reason I posted was because of seeing how avid a cyclist you are.

Yeah, I thought as much. I've considered trying some rollers, but I know there's no way that I could get the missus on them. We do have a fluid trainer for the bikes. I'd kind of like one of the smart trainers where you can download your favorite course (or make your own based on your real rides) where it will vary the effort required based on hills.

That thing looks kind of interesting; however, I prefer my go-to treadmill...Mother Earth. :)
