Fedex or someone gifted me an rv a/c...whadda I do?

Ordered a Dometic RV air con for the living quarters I'm building out in a large horse trailer. Reputable dealer in Houston. Was around 650, 125 of that shipping. FedEx drops it off today, and there are TWO of the same unit. Call the dealer, they were more or less rude but said they'd email me a return label.

Here's the rub-the unit probably has a wholesale value of 300? or so. They've already spent 100 to ship it to me and now they're going to spend another 100 to return it. I'm thinking I should tell them that I'll send them 150 and keep the spare unit. Or should I just return it ?

Legally, I'm under no obligation. Morally? Of course it should go back. But isn't there a way to make lemonade here?

I ordered some sod staples last year. I use them to secure drip tubing irrigation.

They sell a square and a round top version.

For tubing - I use the round top version.

They sent me the square top version.

Oops.

Sent in 2 of those USPS Priority Mail boxes that you pay one price no matter what they weigh.

These boxes were stuffed and bulging and HEAVY. I mean over 50 lbs. per box.

Contacted the vender and they offered me a discount to keep them. Nope. Agreed to re-send with the right ones (round top) and sent return labels.

Like I'm going to lug these suckers to the post office.

I asked for a "pickup" and got no response. They are still sitting in my garage.

A few years back I ordered 3 work dollies. About a grand total. Company sent the order twice.

They told me not to worry and keep them

Gave me a song and dance about some loser in Virginia who scammed my order somedamnhow.

The following Fri. i come home and have 2 tanks on my door step.
Called the place up and they said they'd send me return shipping stickers.

Back in the day when Sears was dominating retail sales in every mall all across America my parents went big-time (for us it was big-time anyway) and bought a nice top of the line (including electric start) Sears Craftsman riding lawn mower to be delivered.

Didn’t show up. So to make things right Sears upped the lawn mower one size for free. Delivered.

Didn’t show up again.

One day later there’s TWO riders in the driveway when mon and dad got home from work.

They had a hell of a time trying to get Sears to come pick one of em up.

A few years ago I ordered a NEW LCD Tv on Amazon. I got a used one with a chip in the corner and bad pixels.

I went back the ad on Amazon and it was changed from new to used. Except I had the receipt with it saying new.

I put in a ask for refund and the seller (seedy) balked I threw a fit and sent Amazon the receipt for the NEW tv. They refunded me, I asked the seller where he wanted me to drop off the TV, he told me to throw it away.

I gave it to my niece.

Send them an email offering to pay $100 to keep it and see what they counter.
