Any experience with the sub $100 Portable LCD Projectors?
I have an old DLP projector that keeps overheating and bulbs are outrageous.
I use it as an outdoor theater for the kids, so the picture doesn't need to be great, just good enough. It also needs to be bright enough to use at dusk. Any experience with something like this? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1560360293.jpg |
We bought a decent one refurbished through Newegg for not much more and the bulbs are $40. Still works great.

We have one. It is a bit dim for use in daylight but works ok.

I have a mini projector similar to that but I cost $299 from Sharper Image. I use it to project movies while camping. Works quite well actually!

I bought the Wonnie. Ordered it on Wednesday, and it came yesterday. Thanks Amazon
It's cheep as expected, some of my kids toys have better materials. It's light and just feels cheep. It has a clunky manual focus, and the keystone adjustment is wonkey but worked in my setting. I filled my 8' wide screen from 8-10' away. I used NetFlix on my Chromebook to drive it and that worked great. It came right on as the second display. It made for a great outdoor movie night for the kids. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1560523090.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1560523358.jpg |
I buy Epson projectors used on eBay for $100.

I was looking at them last year - this one in particular - but never pulled the trigger. It's $146.99 from Amazon.
