2 speed rear? I don’t remember that being an option on a one ton.

Agreed. I've been in, and around a lot of the square body Chevy duallys, when new and throughout the 80s, with 70s trucks in the mix. Some had OD's hanging off the back of the trans, GVs. Larger trucks gas and diesel had 2 speed diffs. The 366s were thirsty!

I'll get pictures up later today,

2 speed rear end is not a factory option the original owner added a gear vendors modification, along with all of engine modifications like edelbrock heads and supercharger to the 454.

it loves gasoline

truck has original paint other than hood scoop added for turbo

I'm looking for advice as to where to list truck - it is a special heavy duty -no rust- not restored- loaded 1980 1 ton dually with quad cab and full size bed.

IF you owned it where would you list it - not trying to place any sly ad

I'd start with local Craig's List. Then eBay. I have also sold cars at 2 different auto related swap meets.

I don't recall B&M making a centrifugal S/C. If it's a roots style, it is effectively a one (remarkable!) trick pony.

Once TDI diesels came along, trucks like that became dinosaurs. Even my 20 year old 7.3 Power Stroke will drag that thing from here to Chinatown while using half or 1/3 the fuel.

That’s the problem, it’s just not good for anything.
