Apollo 11 the Movie

Watched it last night. Incredible movie. It had tons of footage never seen before, and contemporaneous commentary from Cronkite, Brinkley, and others.

Highly recommended.

I take it you don't mean the Ron Howard version? Or are you talking about the DVD extras on that one?

That is for sure on my to see list.

Like anyone alive I so remember that event. The Apollo 11 crew was put in the "moon bug" containment chamber and then brought to Hawaii. It passed withing a few blocks of our house. I was riding my bike along side and Neil returned my wave! I doubt he remembered me but I sure remember him.

Thanks for reminding me of the movie. Will have to check it out.

I had the honor of sitting down with Buzz Aldrin once and chatting with him one on one for about 20 minutes. Was a great experience.

Or you can get it online if you don’t want to wait. Definitely worth it.

I watched the landing live on a tiny little television in New Hampshire. I’ll never forget it.
