'RealPlayer'...anyone an expert or knows its nuances?

I used to be able with my old lap-top have the ability with REALPLAYER to record videos off YouTube, such as non-copyrighted lectures and download them to my MP3 player and listen to them in the car, time permitting when stuck in traffic.

I've had a new laptop for three months now with the latest version of RealPlayer software(which is free), and wonder if I simply can't figure out the settings, or the newer version simply will not let you record anything now.

Before, my cursor could float over the video window, and ask me if I wanted to record it, but not now(regardless of using Explorer or Firefox)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

There are tons of browser plugins to do that now; you don't need the RealPlayer virus any more

I use vidtomp3.com

The downloadhelper extension for firefox used to be able to do it for me, but either my conversion stuff has changed on the back end or youtube has changed things to make dlhelper not work.

I agree with you, the current youtube tools are useful to users. I currently use the tool youtubeconverter.to download my favorite songs to my computer to relax, as well as convert videos to mp4, 1080 format. I love this tool very much.
