Dog Bark Earthquake video.....freaked out my dog.
Dog in Santa Clarita sensed earthquake moments before it happened - Story | WOFL
There was a big earthquake recently in California. Lady was filming video, and her dog pre-sensed the 6.4 tremor. In the video the dog barks. I hit play. Our dog listening to the video clip on laptop, went totally tense and was anxious. Universal Dog Talk language? ****tts about to hit the fan? Lizzy freaked out very intense, when she simply heard this autoclip. What does your dog do? reaction? Dog in Santa Clarita sensed earthquake moments before it happened - Story | WOFL

I have seen dog communication happen.
The limits of where not to go in a house to a visiting dog were very clearly communicated by the resident dog. That visiting dog started to look at the stairs, started to move. Then the communication happened. The visiting dog never in all visits ever again tried to go to the upstairs of the house. |

Don't feed your Dog a treat after an earthquake and especially after each after shock. You will only create the world's most sensitive seismometer. Someone in Anchorage did that after the 7.0 last November. Dogs were at attention waiting for treat after shocks unfelt by their owner.

I was always skeptical about dogs alerting before an e/q, but two sconds before it hit, he started barking and then went into his WTF mode (whining and running around in circles), when the shock wave hit. He's a GSD mix and very protective of his family.
We live in the west San Fenando Valley about 120 miles from the epicenter and it felt like a 3-4 quake here, i.e., nothing to worry about. Hope all are well.

In the EQ I went through as a kid, people commented on their dogs' behaviors prior to it. I remember seeing horses rearing up, neighing, and carrying on in their corrals. My cat disappeared three days before and came back right afterwards.
