1969 some fun history

Didn't want this to get lost in the music video thread, because it's more than that. One day on the rooftop of Apple Studios, the Beatles gave an impromptu concert. It was their last concert...a farewell, if you will.

This 22 minutes video records it. I found the street shots interesting. The young women in mini skirts, (Now able to show this to grandkids?), the traffic jam, the cops arriving to stop the show. Just fun!

So, watch or flame, whichever you prefer...

It was a great set...

It was a great set indeed. Most folks think that this was a first, that The Beatles dreamt this up. That is not the case - The Jefferson Airplane beat them to it by about a year.

New York, 1968:

...and a few years later the Stones brought out a flat-bed truck to introduce Ron Woods to the fold!

The Dead did an impromptu free concert on a flatbed truck in the Haight on March 3, 1968.

I think you misspelled the last word in the sentence... ;)
The Beatles (before Yoko) were awesome.

Style in general.

What we have now is comfort --- with style no where to be seen!

No less than Billy Preston on the keyboard.
