I liked the movie but the ending was horrific. The fall from the tower was horrible...

The Brits have a way of doing violence like no other.

Funny- that's what they kept saying about it in the movie itself. I just watched it again out of curiosity. Some great acting, totally offbeat, and dark. I won't need to see it again.

well that's why I said it , but I agree with them.
every 10 years I'll accidentally make my way there and regret it., traffic blows, to many people.

actually, it was in the news lately that the streets are dead there now in full summer
speculating that the tourists are fed up with it

https://www.hln.be/in-de-buurt/brugge/zijn-toeristen-brugge-beu-het-is-doods-in-volle-zomer-nooit-meegemaakt~af388f4c/

4 weeks ago there was another one stating the inhabitants are tired of the tourists, just like in venice and city council need no do more promotion as to much is too much..

I reckon this is just a ploy by the business owners , they obviously want more promotion to get more customers in
The locals don't go to the local restaurants no more, at least not in general... because they are terribly expensive for the tourists and service is crap.

in Dutch they are called "dikbil" which means big butt

Basically they are have a genetic morph that leaves em with doubled muscles
And have been bred for that trait.

In local dialect we call em a "kachtelgat", kachtelen is flemish for a cow giving birth.
They cannot give birth naturally because the calves already grew to big in the woumb, so they are all brought into the world with a cesarean delivery

There are several breeds with this trait, but the Belgian Blue is the most famous i think, there are some Dutch and several French and one italian, but the italian is a small breed
