PS the oldest Cowsill brother credited Waddy Wachtel for teaching him how to play and write.
That waddy guy is everywhere.

Four of my favorites... I may have posted Surfin' Bird earlier in the thread, but it deserves another mention.

The Boss comes in at 1:21. See Teri Garr dancing to her left who also is burdened with MS. RIP Annette.

Looks like Linda Evans, doubt if she is actually singing.

Actress is a young Linda Evans, but the music is dubbed from Jackie Ward & the Hondells.

Searched the whole thread to make sure this wasn't a duplicate - just in time for Christmas:

That was unknown to me!

I didn't read thru the whole thread to see if this was mentioned. If so, sorry for the repeat.

I actually saw these guys as part of a review-style show in some dusty old theater in NYC. The Animals w/Eric Burdon were also on the bill.

Many I could post - but the "one hit wonder" rules out most of my favorite songs/bands.

I always liked this though:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eyCEexG9xjw" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The ever talented Stan Ridgeway and Wall Of Voodoo. I was fortunate to see them in the early days of the Los Angeles Punk/ New wave scene. If you have ever seen Stan perform he is a very talented musician and funny as hell. Never saw anyone play pots and pans like they did. Great loss of one of the original lineup was Marc Morelands passing, great guitarist. His brother Bruce Moreland went on to work with some great artists

Oddly wherever I saw Wall of Voodoo you could find Mark Mothersbaugh and Danny Elfman in the same room.

These guys are living proof latch key kids can tun out ok.
