I get Jerry is rich and all but he is not funny. I love Seinfeld, reference the show all the time. As a result, I keep giving his stand up acts a chance. 3 times, fell asleep 3 times. Believe I want to laugh but nothing really to laugh about. I get the jokes but hardly laugh out loud funny. Steve Sweeny he is not (Boston Shot out).

Bob Einstein was the best guess. I'll never forgive (like he would care) Jerry that he didn't give Bob the Acura. Dick move.

Not a guy I would care to meet. Eddie, yes indeed.

More than likely scripted. Super Dave is outstanding in those situations.

I like Jerry. He doesn't use profanity and I think he's funny. He's not Louis CK funny but entertaining to me.

However, I do see a hint of the very senior and ugly Jerry Lewis in him. A potential mean, crotchety prick.

When in the deli with maniscalco, he said the meat looked like it came off the deli guy’s head, to his face. I didn’t find that funny’s at all. It was nasty

Good call because none of us would survive his lack of interest more than 10 seconds. That doesn't make him a prick as BK posted.

Wife and I recently saw Jerry live and absolutely loved him, never a dull moment. To each his own.

Watched it this morning...meh. Eddie was mostly boring even though Jerry tried to get him to banter back and forth. Warmed up a bit towards the end but overall it was 30 minutes too long.

I get we have long moved past Jerry's good friends but most of the comedians get its an entertainment show and at least try to go back and forth with Jerry, but there have been notable failures and I think Eddie was one of those.

In the past I thought Alex Baldwin and Norm McDonald were entertaining and I could watch Bob Einstein anytime. Jay Leno was a good guest and even Jerry Lewis was pretty good in his own senile way. Garry Shandling episode was pretty profound practically predicting his own death...a lot of them just sorta suck but, I like the concept of the show

We saw Jerry doing his stand-up gig last year locally, and he was better than ever.

As for seeing him in public, I've seen him at several Porsche open-to-the-public gatherings over the last decade, and so long as all you want to do is talk cars, he is totally cool - affable even. And (true story), once he saddled up next to me in the men's room of the LA Airport Hilton, and we chatted P-cars while we peed. He was totally down to earth!

The episode with Alec Baldwin was one of my favorites too. Not really being a comedian, I didn't know what to expect but he turned out to be quite entertaining.

Really, he was. Actually more talent there than he normally gets to use.

I saw it yesterday, Eddie's pretty good with impressions. I've watched a few of these and this was the first time I saw police escorts in some of the shots.
The episode with Bridget Everett Jerry is angered about someone (it's blanked out)

Probably Mr Einstein wrote most of it, and came up with the concept, reminds me of a Super Dave type of gag

I found Eddie Murphy quite interesting in that episode. Based upon nothing more than a little intuition (and zero facts!), I'd guess he's had some kind of good or bad majorly trans-formative experience in the last decade or so.

On the bad side of the ledger:
- Some form of major emotional break/breakdown
- Been burned too many times by friends or loved ones

On the good side:
- Finding a life partner who has helped him find real happiness
- Finding happiness in having and raising children
- Finding peace/serenity (perhaps faith based, meditation, etc)

My hope is that it's of the latter variety - I always loved the guy. And if the last decade and that CICHC episode are any indication, it really appears as if he no longer seems to crave celebrity and it's trappings. That's probably a very good thing.

My $.02.

Given what he said he likes doing, his kids are his groove.

He buried his big brother two years ago. That would change a man.

It's an 18k (white gold) Cartier.

With his new Netflix contract (+/- $70MM?) he should be able to step up his watch game a bit.
