If you're found DEAD at work after 10 years, do you get OT -pay
|
Yea I was reading that.
Horrible way to die.... |

Yeah, horrible way to die. Just like the factory worker who fell into the huge vat of French Polish. At least he had a beautiful finish. |
Depends if you are on the clock or not..
|
what about the smell .
heard a story of a guy trying to break into a house through the chimney and got stuck and died. |
This seems very weird.
I understand how it could happen, but going 10 years without being found? The smell would have been horrific. Can't understand how it took them so long to find him. |

And as for not being found for so long, the store closed 3 years ago. It's been sitting empty since and they only found him while demolishing the inside of the building. Add to that he was an illegal immigrant who had been deported once before, no one was really looking for him either. |
And he was prescribed anti-depressants the day before he ran outside in a snowstorm and disappeared.
|
No one missed him... What a tragic end. :(

I'd be owed a few comp years....fer sure!
|
Just a guess, but if you were dead OT pay or not would be a mute point.
|
People missed him, they just quit looking for him after a while
I bet he was pretty much mummified |
As above, heat from an industrial cooler would have baked him pretty quick, so the smell would be minimal. And bad smells are not exactly unusual in the back of a grocery store, especially in the summer. I worked in them, I would know.

I've paid employees whose productivity indicated they might be dead.
