77 VW Van Guru San Fernando Valley
Does anyone know a good classic VW van mechanic in San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles Area)? My buddy has a 77 that won't pass smog.

What are the numbers, does it have a catalytic converter or not, how does it run? 1977, I presume they had fuel injection, L jet I think, like the 1.8 914 had, maybe the 912 E also.

I don't know a mechanic down there, but when my vanagons don't pass smog I replace the cat and it's solved the problem every time.
