What a difference 40 years
does? doesn't? make.
Nancy's intro is brilliant, fierce from 2:20 onward <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wRKNXhG86VU" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Sound is unfortunately not so great but the comparison is clear <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/sx0bC3b7tks" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I saw them at Cal Expo in 1980 with Huey Lewis and the News, Eddie Money and Firefall.
Those ladies could ROCK, would have been this tour, Sacramento was the venue just before the dates at the Forum, so like the same week they filmed this, trippy. Oh sweet Nancy, I almost expected her guitar to burst into flames. I never cared about Ann, despite the stellar pipes. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2DHF4rml8_w" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Seattle born and bred.
Their song Baracuda, is about sleezy recording execs. |
I always had a heart on for them.
|
They sure could rock it out. Sounds like the’ve Lost a step though. What’s with Nancy’s legs? She keeps the covered and lower legs seem very large.
|
A few years ago they announced that they would never tour together again.
Glad they made up, they still rock. |
I saw Heart in 1984 in Toledo Ohio, it was a good show, but we had bad seats. Ironically, I had also seen Huey Lewis (and the News) at Kings Island in the Spring of 1983 (senior class trip)....at that time, no one in our group knew who they were. They became very popular the next year.

I was hesitant to click, then I remembered we weren't in PARF and it likely was NOT comparing speeches from Nancy Pelosi.
Have enjoyed their music forever. |
I saw Ann last summer, she was the opener for Paul Rodgers/Jeff Beck..
She did not play one Heart song, and what she did play was truly awful.. My date commented she should just hang it up... it was truly embarrasing to go from Heart to the drivel she played that night.. Paul Rodgers outstanding.. Jeff Beck, nuff said.. |

Without a doubt their best, and best as loud as it will go. White girl overbite at 1:10 is great. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PeMvMNpvB5M" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Did too.
Nana nabooboo. It was pretty darn close to the original. I hate when some tribute band massacres the original for the sake of originality. There are exceptions. |
Saw em at the 1978 Texas Jam in the Cotton Bowl. It wss 150,000 degrees so they had fire hoses spraying the crowd. Do to the heat, beer, and drugs I don't remember a hell of a lot of their show.

I have a white album of theirs that was recorded in a club in Seattle in the mid 70's and they covered several Led Zepplin songs. Even then they were pretty good at Led Zep stuff.

I’m a huge Heart fan and that rendition brought a tear. I’d love to see them live.
|
Several years ago (about 5) wife and I saw them at Pechanga and we were in the front row. Awesome show.
