Pathetic...

scottmandue 03-25-2003 11:50 AM

Just when I though I could not think any lower of Sodem Insane!

Frank B 03-25-2003 11:51 AM

most likely. These people are disgusting individuals. Evolution, has skipped this culture for some reason. I don't understand how a culture can be so behind and reckless. It's disgusting. THey have no regard for themselves or each other... they're blindly led by religion and empty promisses. It's a disgrace. Black top it and start over... I'm serious.

(this next statement may get me in toruble, but I have to voice this)

When you frequent an establishment, owned and operated by someone (not english speaking) you get a sense of Give me your hard earned money you huge american cash cow.. They give you horrible service and don't care, but we have to be so nice and watch what we say..I'm entirely disgusted with what is happening to our own country and what our country is turning into. If I have to repeat myself more than 2 times to order a ****** cup of coffee I get pretty pissed off. I don't like ignorance and I especially dislike arrogance.

If this is offensive to anyone, have a visit to my town especially any 7-11 or dunkin donuts and you'll understand how I feel...I'm fed up.

scottmandue 03-25-2003 12:10 PM

No problem Frank, just move to California and learn to speak spanish.

If that doesn't depress you enough consider this, Babylon (now Baghdad) was once the cradle of civilization, it was the center of the world for science, literature, mathematics etc. Muslims, Jews, and Christians even peacefully coexisted and exchange ideas. So they are not socially stagnant they are backsliding something awful.

They ARE DEVO!

Frank B 03-25-2003 12:14 PM

Scott, Thanks for the insight I needed that. I apologize for any negative remarks or offensive comments. There's no excuse for my ignorance. I'm just getting impatient with our migrated citizens....

i don't think jews, christians & muslims ever sat down to a cup of java in babylon because it was conquered and faded out of history around 500 b.c., well before Christ and way before mohammed. the jews were there before its fall as they were taken captive by the babylonians. you can read some about it in the book on daniel.

Please refrain from posting war related in the 944 forums. Please use the OT Dungeon for that.

As such, moving to OT.

Thanks, Zoltan.

I stand corrected (I don't have my Bible or my history books here at work)

No kidding! Those words do capture an "attitude" which seems to be highly effective on a lot of the softies in the US. Though it doesn't just come from the guys behind the 7-11 counter.

It comes from the "non-profits" that puts the most pathetic images imaginable in front of your face and says "Give me your hard earned money you huge american cash cow."

It comes from the people that wait at intersections, holding cardboard signs, get in your face and says "Give me your hard earned money you huge american cash cow."

And yesterday, it came to my door in the form of some funky knappy 20 year old telling me "Give me your hard earned money you huge american cash cow." . . ..his actual words were; "buy these magazine supscriptions . . ."because I need to make money . . ."because I can't serve my country in the military . .. "because, I already have two convictions on my record" http://forums.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/icons/icon4.gif

How's that for "Give me your hard earned money you huge american cash cow."(?)

It's one thing to try to leverage guilt, but it crosses a line when they pull out the overbearing self-deserving BS; especially when underlined with a veiled threat.

RANDY P 03-26-2003 08:53 AM

Never feel guilty about earning yours. Why do some think having a job, good sense for money and generally being responsible = being lucky? Burns me up that some think there's a "moral" obligation to support these sign holding deadbeats - so, I DON'T.

These types of beggars have become endemic all over Europe too. And with the best will in the world they are not genuine hardship cases. They are professional beggars. If they could put half the effort they expend scrounging into working they would be EARNING well from gainful employment.

The worst thing you can do is give them anything. If everyone had to courage to say no, they would disappear. Another pet hate are squeegee merchants who insist on cleaning your windscreen and headlights at traffic lights and junctions.

JavaBrewer 03-26-2003 10:16 AM

The most pathetic example of begging I've experienced was around the wall of the Vatican in Rome. Never I have seen so many people in one place doing that...not even in Mexico.

Frank B 03-26-2003 11:44 AM

Allright, so far we have what 11 people to go over there?.. hehe.. I'm leading the charge. good points everyone, it is comforting for me to see individuals like myself, who break their B@lls everyday only to be served up a plate of bull***** when you go to spend your money or drive down the street to gas up your car. I'm disgusted with the way poeple like myself are treated by spoiled, fat, ungrateful, lazy, moronic, unrealistic, pathetically dangerous, pansies that parade around in their uncle's military uniforms protesting or begging for moneyor looking at you sideways because you asked for extra pickles on your double quarter pounder with cheese. Every time one of these snot nosed bast@rds gives me the mad dog eye I wanna smash their's and their parents faces in.... I'm done, just done with it.

RANDY P 03-26-2003 12:07 PM

Even worse than Mexico?!!

Wow.

(at least they have a bad economy to blame)
