What is a "Beach Unit", a measurement of ANSI spec
 
Look at the ANSI spec sheet.

2nd shaded box down, middle row.


what the heck is a BEACH UNIT of measurement?


Poly Sheeting product has listed "Puncture resistance of this product is 125 beach units.????????? and equiv is 3.7 joules.


Huh?

a beach unit? 125 of them?

I googled it to no avail. only got Random data and images.

Spec sheet is attached.


I dare the brain trust, definition please.


Are these Beach Units? 125 pounds perhaps?

Don't know, but apparently it's a thing. If you google it, you just get rental units on the beach.

My "Cliff Calvin" guess is that has to withstand a 125 pound lady in high heels walking across it on top of the sand of a beach. Yea, that sound right.

LOL...these pics remind me of a Black Audi Wagon ...sometimes one just doesn't fit in and ruins it fer the rest...and sometimes ya just barely notice at all...
